lovely stay but could improve on amenities
The staff provided personalized service that made us feel truly welcomed. Our Superior King Suite boasted a fantastic view of the garden, which added to the tranquil atmosphere. The roaring open fire in the lounge created a cozy environment perfect for relaxation.
Some amenities were lacking compared to what I expected.

Delightful Experience with Exceptional Dining
We spent three lovely nights in a king suite. The atmosphere was welcoming, but the standout was the restaurant. every dish was expertly prepared. Do try the local specialties! Just be prepared for less engagement from some staff during peak events. Still, a fantastic value overall!

We had such a fantastic time at this cozy spot, especially taking the kids to explore nearby hiking trails and enjoy the scenic views of the lakes. Their food was delicious, and we felt right at home in the welcoming atmosphere. Made our family trip memorable!
My children wished there were more play areas available for them to enjoy during our stay.

I spent one night at the Mason's Arms for my birthday with my wife. The location is fantastic, just a five-minute drive to Gummers Howe for breathtaking views of the fells and Morecambe Bay. The pub was busy but welcoming. We enjoyed a couple of pints of well-kept ale. Our Cartmel Fell room was lovely—comfortable and well-decorated. Dining at the restaurant blew us away. the food was top-notch. The only downside was that the breakfast timing felt a bit late for us, especially since we had a toddler. A more flexible option for breakfast would have been great, especially on checkout day. Despite that, everything else was wonderful. We’ll definitely return soon.

The one-bedroom apartment was cozy and provided a unique layout that made for a comfortable stay. there were some cleanliness issues which needed attention, and the lack of a detailed visitor information pack made it difficult to find local amenities. it's a good place for a short getaway with some potential for improvement.

Enjoyed a fantastic birthday stay with my wife at this lovely place. We relaxed on the sun terrace and took a stroll in the garden. both were perfect spots to unwind. Just a heads up, breakfast starts a bit late for early risers, but overall, it was a wonderful experience! 😊

The cosy bar provided perfect evenings while checkout was disorganized.

missingWrote a review on Jul 05limited parking
Parking proved to be a hassle as we arrived late. the pub was crowded, forcing us to leave the car on the road. Breakfast timing was a letdown for our toddler’s early rising schedule, and we unfortunately missed it on checkout day. The apartment had some cleanliness issues—like visible cobwebs—and we had to handle the vacuum ourselves. The absence of a TV in the lounge made family movie nights impossible, forcing us to huddle on beds. A lack of a freezer limited our meal prep options, and we found the kitchen supplies poorly detailed before arrival. we ended up bringing our own tea and coffee. Checkout also fell flat with billing errors in both our cottages.

would like to go back here again
The room was super spacious and clean, with a cozy seating area and stylish decor. I loved the large flat-screen TV and the outdoor dining area for a nice evening. Breakfast featured freshly baked pastries and an incredible full English. The atmosphere around the fireplace was so welcoming! Perfect location for walking in the area too.
